Plan the bar around pressure points
When hiring bartenders for a corporate event in Copenhagen, start with the pace. Serving a welcome drink to 200 guests in 20 minutes is very different from running a relaxed open bar over several hours.
The menu matters as much as the guest count. Wine, beer, simple mixed drinks and cocktails all create different workloads. The more steps each serve requires, the more important bar layout, ice, glassware and runner support become.
Keep the drink menu focused
A shorter drink menu usually creates a better guest experience. Two or three signature drinks, wine, beer and good alcohol-free options can feel polished without slowing down the bar.
If cocktails are part of the event, recipes, ingredients and glassware should be confirmed before the event day. Bartenders work faster when the station is logical and everyone knows what is being served.
Do not forget runners
Many corporate events underestimate runner support. Bartenders should ideally stay in the bar while someone else brings ice, replenishes glassware, clears trays, removes empty bottles and keeps the work area clean.
For larger events, a runner can be the difference between a smooth bar and a slow one. This is especially true in venues where storage, kitchen access or waste areas are far from the bar.
Brief the bartenders clearly
Share the guest count, schedule, bar location, product list, dress code, payment setup, alcohol-free options and onsite contact. Also explain whether the tone should be formal, relaxed, premium or brand-led.
A strong brief helps bartenders meet guests in the right way. For corporate events, the job is not only speed. It is calm service, presentation and a professional atmosphere throughout the evening.
